Assat...Depends if you want ocean or bay action. <br /> <br />Assateague has two sections, the federal and state parks. The first park you come to, right after you come of the bridge, is the state park. This park is free I believe. I also go to the federal park. Annual pass is $30, daily visit is $15. <br /> <br />For the ocean, any of the parking lots have beach access. I like the last lot (southernmost) in the federal park. Has a bathroom and boardwalk up to the top of the dune. <br /> <br />For sound sailing, you have to go to the federal park. Just past the rangers station, there is a road that you’ll make a right and drive all the way to the sound.
