About a year ago (just after Wavefest '08), I was interviewed by Lisa Kawata, writer for the Howard County Magazine. She was looking to write short profiles on men that do "Extreme Sports".
Windsurfing fit the bill!
I was excited to chat with Lisa, and try to put my passion for the sport into words. No easy task, even though i consider myself a pretty good writer. I knew this was largely an excellent opportunity to carry the stoke to the masses. The Howard Magazine has a circulation of >70,000!. Talk about spreading the stoke! I also took the opportunity to highlight what I consider to be two excellent means to get into and learn to windsurf.
ABK camp are one of the best, and are geared to large groups. If you're looking for a more personalized, one on one lesson while in Hatteras, hook up with Andy at Sailworld. He'll have you hooked in and planing in the the straps faster than you can drive there from DC!

Thanks Lisa!

Nice coverage. Way to spread the stoke! By the way, how do you plan to work in the sport once you're done sailing a desk?
Wo- George- MAJOR "THANKS" for the props, man!! Nice work on the interview! That's exactly the kind of coverage that will help get some more newBs into the sport, too. Very Nice, George, Very Nice Work!
Thanks again for the shout out!
